David at Paddy Wagon

This happened Monday evening, September 14th, 2009

I had finished a night of calling BANGO and was having a couple of "Timmies" while awaiting the arrival of my cab for my return ride home.

I was sitting in the game room where I call BANGO and there was a group of guys sitting a couple tables behind me. I hadn't really paid too much attention to the group at the table as I was enjoying the "down time" and the great "Timmies". What is a "Timmy" you ask? It is a drink named after my roommate (and best friend) Tim by the Rail Station (where he calls BARGO 3 times a week). It is UV Blue Raspberry vodka and lemonade.

It just so happens that Paddy's has them on sale for $ 2 a pop on football game nights. I decided to try one on Monday and I am happy to report that the bartender made an EXCELLENT Timmy.

In any case, I was sitting in the game room enjoying a couple of "Timmies" imagining that I was having a conversation with my partner David (who had passed away back in Jan. ' 97).

Take note that I have often received "visits" from David since his passing. Not so frequently as of late. He did use to visit me a lot when I had my apartment down in So. Minneapolis. But I have not felt his presence very much in the last year or so.

Also note that when I say that I "felt his presence", I know that he is actually there with me as I can feel and sense his energy.

Monday night was different. I was sitting there IMAGINING that I was talking with him. I was asking him how different things would've have been if he had not passed away when he did - and what a different course my life might have taken subsequently.

Well a few minutes later one of the guys who had been sitting at the table behind me came up and asked me "who was that guy you were just talking to?"

This caught me a little off guard and so I asked "what guy?" He said, "the guy who was just sitting here talking with you." Well no one was actually at the table with me since my friend Carol left some time before. So I asked this guy to describe the person he saw sitting with me. He described David perfectly.

Ima thinkin mayhaps the guy from the other table is a little "in-tune" to his surroundings than he might know. Idk - he said that he and his friends are staying at the hotel next to Paddys and would be back again on Thursday night. I will make sure I have a picture of David with me to show him.

Just another one of those "goosebump" experiences that make you say "WOW"
